1. To inculcate and promote reverence for God and selfless service to motherland and humanity.


2. To instill in the young minds a sense of the divine by giving them opportunities to pray together with Scouts and Guides from diverse cultures, languages, races and religions.


3. To provide occasions for the Scouts and Guides to know Don Bosco and his mission for the young.


4. To give them the opportunity to celebrate the feeling of unity of being the students of Don Bosco institutions.


5. To enhance their spirit of patriotism, love for the country and make them good citizens.


6. To teach them to serve and live in harmony with their fellow citizens irrespective of race, creed, religion, caste or colour.


7. To create opportunities for the Scouts and Guides to rally together with a common purpose and progress together in a spirit of fraternity setting aside their difference in cultural, religion, caste, language and socio-economic conditions.


8. To motivate them to a sense of responsibility for the weaker sections of the society and to groom them to be men and women of service and responsibility.


9. To promote self discipline and self-reliance along with physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual development.


10. To impart in them the values of right living, loyalty, honesty, compassion, unity, equality, sharing, brotherhood / sisterhood, justice and fear of God.


11. To create opportunities that would trigger their creativity and help them to learn practical skills, arts and handicrafts.


12. To create a platform for learning, sharing, building up their character, enhancing their leadership qualities and developing talents through group activities.
